IT Business Intelligence - Team Lead

Part of the IT project delivery team, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating project activities within a multidisciplinary team. He/she facilitates the team members’ cooperation and enhances the team’s performance and synergy in order to continuously meeting customers’ needs and expectations. Furthermore, the project manager will also be responsible for overseeing the architecture and evolution of division’s data Warehouse, including how data is collected, transformed, stored and shared .Finally, extending knowledge of Business Intelligence to provide ongoing refinement of processes to improve operations will also be a key responsibility.



  • Support the IT advisor and participate during the different phases of the various architecture Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing projects, to clearly define the project deliverables, the elements of the preliminary user story, the budget, participate in the definition and validation of the architecture of the solutions;
  • Support the supply of external partners for capacity or expertise needs;
  • Coordinate planned activities with team members to ensure the execution of IT solutions as per business requirements and in a timely fashion;
  • Oversee the team’s priorities in accordance with project needs and guidelines;
  • Ensure sustainability and operability of solutions and smooth handover to other teams;
  • Participate to project delivery activities;
  • Define a flexible target solution architecture for data extraction, transformation and warehousing and propose improvement projects or building blocks to reach the target.
  • Plan and support the evolution of BI technology stack and underlying infrastructure to ensure reliability and constant performance.
  • Define and implement best in class BI standards and methods (documentation, development standard, exception management, orchestration, naming convention, deployment methodology, monitoring, etc.)
  • Understand the current status our solution, data from our source system and how it is filtered, transformed and gaps to support the various business solutions.
  • Act as BI solution architecture SME, support projects managed by the business or other IT Teams; Identify and manage cross project impacts.
  • Creates an environment conductive to team autonomy and performance;
  • Lead and Manage the performance of the IT Project team members by defining and managing Key Performance Indicators;
  • Coach team members on Lean/Agile methods and practices and act as ‘‘Scrum Master’’.



  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information System or any related discipline. A degree in Business Administration would be an asset;
  • You are fluent in English and French (written and spoken);
  • You have manufacturing, ERP and Business Process basic knowledge;
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft SQL, SSIS an Asset and BI Architectural Design;
  • You have 3-5 years’ relevant experience around BI Project delivery and 2 years of experience in managing a team;
  • You have knowledge of Lean and Agile methodology and project management;
  • You have at heart the development of your team;
  • You are skilled at delegating and promoting the autonomy of your team members;
  • You are good at operational decision making and facilitate change;
  • You are customer oriented with a peerless positive approach;
  • You have the capacity to adapt, are looking for concrete results and are concerned with continuous improvement.
