Territory Business Manager

THE CHALLENGE

 

To champion strategic and effective lowest operating cost solutions to expand customer base and exceed sales objectives. 

Continuously improve knowledge of product, industry-specific services and equipment to provide superior customer service to build lasting customer relationships.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Financial Budget Objectives (40% of time and energy)

  • Strategic selling approach to achieve financial objective (territory sales volume target)
  • Focused selling of Camso products via obtainment of large sales orders
  • Achieve market share objective
  • Achieve budgeted growth objective

 

Account Management within Territory (40% of time and energy)

  • Manage customers within territory (specifically those customers accounting for approximately 75% of the territory’s revenue)
  • Possess a high level of business acumen proficiency
  • Utilize strong presentation skills to conduct business reviews with customer Principle/VP
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis within territory
  • Prepare monthly business analysis to detect trends and mitigate potential negative impact
  • Conduct forecasting and planning activities within assigned territory
  • Represent Camso, the tire/track/track system/wheel manufacturer within territory
  • Support Camso Key Account Managers, National Account Managers, and SOS Sales efforts within territory
  • Provide sound technical and product application advice to customers within territory

 

Product Performance (10% of time and energy)

  • Assist the BU product managers with their testing efforts
  • Assist the BU product managers with gathering competitive product information and performance data
  • Obtain “real world” product performance data for self and BU product mangers:  run-out hours, off-hours, etc.

 

Competitive Market Intelligence Information (10% of time and energy)

  • Obtain key market intelligence:  competitive pricing, competitive programs, etc.

 

Education Required

  • Four (4) year university/college Bachelor degree and related business experience

 

Experience Required (number of years, field, position, achievements…)

  • Five (5) years of sales experience, with a minimum of three years tire industry experience
  • Preferred industry experience:  industrial (material handling and/or construction), earthmover, rubber tracks, and/or commercial truck/bus

Other knowledge/technical requirements or professional information, languages, travel required

  • Technical understanding of product lines and their applications
  • Commercial understanding of market and customers for the relevant product lines
  • Sales experience with relevant product lines
  • Preferred language of English, with Spanish being beneficial in specific markets
  • Travel required: 50-60%

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent written communication skills (grammatically sound)
  • Experience using an ERP platform (SAP, Epicor, etc.)
  • Experience using a CRM platform (Salesforce, etc.)
